Geological Details
The showing consists of the mineralized intersection in drill hole number H-6. The hole intersected minor andesite as well as sericite, chlorite, and graphite schists, the latter being mineralized by fine disseminations, stringers, and thin bands of minor to massive pyrite. Pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite were also noted in small amounts. Assays taken from a 2 inch (5.1 cm) section of graphite schist with minor disseminated pyrite (190.0-200.0 ft) returned 2.6 oz/ton Ag. Assays, taken from an interval of grey silicified schist within graphite schist (251.0 to 256.0 ft), returned up to 0.02 oz/ton Au. Assays taken from graphite schist with finely disseminated pyrite (271.3 to 272.3 ft) section returned 0.06% Cu and 1.28% Zn. Drill hole No. 11 returned assays of 0.3 to 0.5 oz./ton Ag from pyritic graphite schist (which is underlain by greenstone). Exploration History
7/28/1988 In 1956, V.D. Colclough drilled hole no. 6 to a depth of 498 ft (151.8 m) on HOODO 39 claim (S-25107) south of a small island near the west shore of Comeback Bay (AF 63L09-0012). Hole No. 11 was drilled on the HOODO 45 claim near the mouth of Wolverine Creek, on the east shore of Comeback Bay to a depth of 537 ft (163.7 m).
