Geological Details
This showing is on the 650 ft (198.1 m) north of the Little Keputch Lake (immediately southwest of Big Keputch Lake) and and 1000 ft (304.8 m) west of the main Ramsay Deposit. The showing is exposed in 3 small trenches. The showing consists of a gossan zone which exposed along the eastern margin of an outcrop of biotite gneiss. The 10 ft (3.0 m) wide by 45 ft (13.7 m) long zone of mineralization is confined to a 492 ft (150 m) long shear that trends 174°/60°SE. The mineralization consists of disseminated pyrite and minor chalcopyrite and azurite and traces of malachite. Hole MAL-37 was completed at the showing and intersected Amisk Group quartz diorite, biotite gneiss and dacite containing 3 to 50% graphite and 1 to 25% pyrite. Assays over 1.4 to 1.9 ft (0.43 to 0.58 m) gave 0.1% Cu. In 1985, SMDC completed rock and soil sampling over the showing. This sampling returned the following values: SAMPLE SAMPLE PPB PPM PPM PPM PPM NUMBER TYPE AU AG CU PB ZN _____________________________________________ 202 rock 5 <0.2 110 48 290 203 rock 60 1.3 230 260 240 204 rock 10 <0.2 80 18 320 205 rock <5 0.4 170 110 1400 209 rock 190 2.8 1400 250 450 210 rock 20 0.7 880 280 450 406 soil 5 0.2 460 27 300 407 soil <5 0.2 360 20 180 408 soil <5 <0.2 130 22 230 409 soil <5 0.4 540 30 310 410 soil <5 1.6 420 58 270 411 soil 10 1.3 440 34 150 The showing area, as mapped by R.L. Johnson in 1967, is underlain by unit 2 or hornblende-bearing granodiorite gneiss. In 1991, Dr. J. Hubregtse completed a petrographic study of the host rocks and concluded that they were mafic to intermediate intrusives which have been metamorphosed to lower amphibolite facies. In 1992, W. Slimmon re-mapped the showing host as unit Hhm or hornblende gneiss migmatite which likely has a volcanogenic origin. T. Sibbald and R. Maxeiner feel the rocks are likely meta-greywackes.

Exploration History
8/8/1988 In 1956, the showing was within KEP claim No. 4. Tombill Gold Mines Ltd. completed a series of 8 trenches over the showing (AF 63L10-0016). No assay results are given. In 1966, Hudson Bay Exploration and Development Co. Ltd completed drill hole MAL-37 to a depth of 219 ft (66.8 m) on Betham Bay, Hanson Lake (AF 63L10-0061). By 1984, the showing was within Share Mines and Oils and Western Minerals ML 5053. In this year, Cameco optioned the lease. In 1985, SMDC geologically mapped and sampled the showing as part of a gold exploration program (AF 63L09-0104). On 3 July 1989, Cameco re-staked the showing as CBS 3665. In 1991, Cameco completed reconnaissance mapping, prospecting and rock sampling which covered the immediate showing area (AF 63L10-0114). On 1 December 1992, CBS 3665 was allowed to lapse.
