Geological Details
Radioactive pegmatites outcrop on several islands in the eastern part of Manawan Lake. A total of 14 radioactive pegmatites are known. They occur in biotite migmatite along both flanks of the Manawan Lake Dome structure. The pegmatites are light grey or white in colour and are composed of microcline, microperthite, plagioclase, quartz and biotite. Secondary radioactive minerals form locally prominent yellow to yellow-green and orange surface films.

Exploration History
7/21/1988 In 1965, Manawan Uranium Syndicate carried out geological surveys, and diamond drilled 9 holes within CBS 18 to test the radioactive showings on the Manawan Lake islands (AF 63M06-0010). About this time, S.J.T. Kirkland geologically mapped the showings (AF 63M06-0021). On 10 July 1988, Royex Gold Corporation staked the showing area as S-100715. No work was completed in the immediate showing area and the claim lapsed on 1 May 1991.
