Geological Details
The showing is located at the southeast tip of Nameless Lake adjactet to where the creek between Nameless and Fork lakes enters Nameless Lake. D. Thomas mapped the area around the southeast tip of Nameless Lake as being underlain by a thin northeast-trending wedge of epidotized mafic metavolcanics which have been altered to migmatitic amphibolite. To the west, the mafic metavolcanics wedge is intruded by the hornblende-biotite leucodiorite and monzodiorite phase of the Star Lake Pluton. To the east, this wedge of volcanics is cut off by Island Lake Pluton cataclastic to microbrecciated porphyritic granite and quartz monzonite. Thomas mapped the host mafic metavolcanics as being transected by the northeast-trending fault which runs up the northwest shore of the north end of Fork Lake. The showing consists of minor but significant native copper mineralization occurring in several angular pieces of meta-andesite. The mineralization occurs in basic volcanics interlayered with acid to basic volcanics trending north-northeasterly and intruded by granodiorite at a depth of 60 ft (18.3 m). Minor copper mineralization was noted in hornblende gniess in drill hole C-1, and an assay returned trace Au and 0.1% Cu over 5.5 ft (1.7 m).

Exploration History
7/25/1988 In 1961, E.F. Partridge noted several angular pieces of mineralized meta-andesite on the southeast corner of the KAHN No. 25 claim 1000 ft (304.8 m) north of Upper Fork Lake. Prospecting to the northeast revealed several outcrops of the same rock type, but showing no mineralization. Following this two trenches and two drill holes (totalling 161.5 ft (49.2 m)) were completed, and minor mineralization was noted. No further work was done on the showing. In 1977, SMDC completed an INPUT and magnetic survey that covered the showing (AF 73P16-0022). On 5 March 1980, Golden Rule Resources was granted MPP 1112. In 1981, Energy Reserves Canada Ltd optioned MPP 1112 and a regional lake sediment survey was completed over the showing area (AF 73P16-0037). In 1982, a SMDC novated into the Golden Rule-Energy Reserves joint venture agreement, took over as project operator and completed regional lake sediment sampling (AF 73P16-0039), mapping, prospecting and sampling (AF 73P16-0038) on the property. In 1983, Energy Reserves Canada sold their share in MPP 1112 to Goldsil Mining and Milling Incorporated. SMDC completed further mapping, prospecting and soil sampling on the property (AF 73P16-0063). In 1986, SMDC completed detailed geological mapping of the Blindman Lake grid (AF 73P16-0126). This work covered the showing area.
