Geological Details
The showing is located 0.25 miles (0.4 km) northeast of the eastern tip of Webb Lake on the west side of a west-northwest-trending valley. Most of the claim block is underlain by a northeast-striking, steeply dipping monotonous sequence of granite, gneiss and paragneiss, which are part of the highly metamorphosed and deformed Tazin Group. The sequence is interbedded with amphibolites and quartzites and is cut by swarms of diabase dykes. The St.Louis Chalcopyrite Showing consists of patchy chalcopyrite mineralization within paragneiss. The mineralization may be associated with assumed faulting in the valley bottom. The showing was grab sampled and yielded and average of 0.53% Cu and 0.02 oz./ton Ag.

Exploration History
7/27/1988 In 1969, Norex Uranium Mines Ltd. found the St. Louis Chalcopyrite Showing within CBS 497. The claim block was surveyed by Geo-X Surveys Ltd. using induced polarization, mapping, diamond drilling and soil geochemistry with detailed follow-up. Trenching and grab sampling was completed on the St. Louis showing. The drill and geophysical results were inconclusive. A zone of sporadic occurrences extends 0.75 miles south from the St. Louis Showing along the valley to the weaker East zone. When tested the assays were low and drill results inconclusive. By 1975, the showing was within CBS 5355. A. Frame completed 2 trenches well northeast of the showing (AF 74N10-0474). No assay values were reported.
