- The Nibs Gold Showing is located approximately 0.30 mile (0.48 km) west of the north tip of Scriver Lake. The showing is approximately 2.9 miles (4.66 km) east-southeast of the Blindman Showing or SMDI.2312.
The general showing area is underlain by La Ronge Group volcanics, volcaniclastics and minor interlayered metasediments. These rocks have been intensely folded and have been to some extent effected by activity on the nearby McLennan Lake shear zone. All the interlayered pegmatites have been severely brecciated.
The showing consists of seams and disseminations of pyrrhotite, pyrite, chalcopyrite and rare native copper secondary fracture fill style mineralization within mafic tuffs, volcanics and siliceous metasediments. The showing consists of two separate zones (East and West) which could be connected. The East Zone consists of pyroclastics-hosted chalcopyrite-gold mineralization located on the east limb of a fold. The West Zone, located 250 m (820.2 ft) to the northeast, consists of identical mineralization located within the fold nose. Better drill hole intersections include:

- 11/1/1991 In 1960, A. Morris geologically mapped NTS 73-P for the Province of Saskatchewan.
The showing area was staked as CBS 6649 on July 2 1982 by Millrock Development Corporation.
Between 1983 and 1984, D. Thomas remapped the general showing area for the Saskatchewan Geological Survey.
Between 1984 and 1985, T. Kennedy (for Millrock Development) completed reconnaissance soil and biogeochemical sampling over the grid that had been established on CBS 6649 (AF 73P16-0056). In the same year, ground EM, magnetic and gradiometer surveys were completed on the grid (AF 73P16-0071).
In 1986, Millrock Development completed 9 anomaly drill holes on the grid (AF 73P16-0072). Drill holes MR-6 to MR-8 encountered the gold mineralization that was later named the Nibs Showing. No further work was completed by Millrock.
In June of 1990, Colchis Resources Incorporated and Pine Channel Gold Corporation had optioned the property. They completed detailed prospecting and drill holes NIBS-1 to-7 on the Nibs Showing plus stripping, grab and channel sampling and drill holes MAC-1 to -9 on the newly discovered McLeod Main and East zones (AF 73P16-0152).
