Geological Details
The occurrence or drill hole FFS-6 is located on the FFS 2 grid approximately 1.5 km (0.9 mile) south of the Flin Flon Mine and approximately 0.60 km (0.37 mile) north northeast of the northeast tip of Phantom Lake. The showing occurs at FFS 2 coordinates 0+00E and 9+00S. The mafic flows are fine-grained, dark green, and locally amygdualoidal. The mafic wackes, which contain small gritty to granular clasts, are dark green, sandy to silty, and locally. Tops determined using graded bedding in the wackes are up to the east. This sequence of silicified rocks is cross-cut by several sets of mud, chlorite, epidote, and quartz-carbonate infilled fractures. The gold mineralization encountered is associated with disseminated crystalline pyrite (2 to 7%) plus minor pyrrhotite and specks of chalcopyrite within quartz±feldspar-carbonate veining in fractures which cut the mafic flow rocks and intercalated mafic wackes. The "healed" fractures are, locally, surrounded by a 4 to 14 mm (0.2 to 3.6 inch) thick, smoky grey, silicified halo which also contains auriferous pyrite.

Exploration History
12/1/1997 Initial work in the showing area led to the discovery of the Unity showing in 1936 by North of 54 Mines Ltd. on the VIOLA claim. Flin Flon Gold Mines Ltd. optioned the property and completed trenching and delineation drilling on the Unity Showing In March of 1950, the showing area was covered by Hudson Bay Exploration and Development's Flin Flon Mining Lease. This lease later converted to ML 5041. In 1987, Hudson Bay completed further drilling on the Unity North and Unity South showings and on the FFS 2 grid (AF 63K12-0173). Only minor gold values over narrow widths were returned. Between 1987 and 1988, ground magnetic and VLF-EM surveys were completed over the FFS 1 to FFS 3 grids (AF 63K12-0174). In 1988, Hudson Bay completed geochemical sampling on ML 5041. In 1992, Hudson Bay completed ground VLF-EM and magnetic surveys over the FFS 2 grid (AF 63K13-0071). In 1994, Hudson Bay completed drill holes FFS-6 to FFS-11 on the FFS-2 grid (AF 63K13-SW-0074). Anomaly drill hole FFS-6 encountered the gold intersections which constitute this showing. In the same year, they completed prospecting and rock sampling on the FFS 2 grid (AF 63K13-0075). In the following year, a ground TDEM-PEM survey was completed on the FFS-2 grid (AF 63K13-0079). In 1998, Hudson Bay completed a ground magnetic survey on the FFS-2 grid (AF 63K12-0205). On 9 September 1998, Hudson Bay consolidated ML 5041 and ML 5361 and the showing was covered by ML 5518.
